So Close, Yet SO Far... ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ rated!
Being on Molokai is a dream... a short, easy flight from Maui (25 min), yet YEARS away from the crowds and well-worn "package-tour" trail. The island itself is delightful- friendly, slow-paced, yet visually stunning and abounding in authentic activities you'll find nowhere else in the islands. From the mule ride down the tallest sea-cliffs on earth to the Kalapapa Peninsula, to deep-sea charters that are as professional, yet affordable as any in the Hawaiian islands, if you are looking for adventure and a taste of "Old Hawaii", then Molokai is THE place for you. BUT...there is no reason to sacrifice on comfort during your stay! This house is OUTSTANDING. Not only is it situated on the prettiest part of the island, but it is clean, quiet, very well appointed, and gives off a delightful, airy feel. Architecturally, it feels like yesteryear, yet with all the modern conveniences... you will want for nothing.

The swimming, snorkeling, line and spear fishing off the white sand beach are great, and there is a well-appointed little market and take-out just 3 miles down the road providing a surprising variety of both essentials along with a generous sampling of tasty local fare. The main town is 19 miles away. It is there if you need it, but you won't- take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and great outdoor grill! Pour a Mai Tai, grill some steaks, ribs, or fish, and gaze across the channel to Maui where folks are paying five times what you did for dinner, with half the view, and a tenth of the Aloha...
